The Clapham School policy on tuition differs from most other schools in a number of respects.

  1. We limit our class sizes to no more than 16 students per class so the student to teacher ratio compares favorably to most other day school options. The benefit from smaller class sizes cannot be underestimated.
  2. Our model is focused on creating a challenging, yet nurturing classroom environment. Therefore, we put the funds in places that lead to that, namely, our teaching staff, training and curriculum.
  3. Clapham School is accredited by ISACS. Our tuition rates remain lower than other ISACS accredited schools in the Chicago area that we view as more comparable competitors academically.

Naturally then, we place significant focus on raising funds to help award scholarships for those families that need some financial help in affording a Clapham education for their children. Clapham School has stated a goal to never turn away a student because of financial need. We strongly encourage interested families to apply for financial aid in the form of Need Based Grants. For the families who are the right fit for our unique model, our financial aid process is the way we ensure that a Clapham education is affordable.
